Basically, it seems to me the biggest difference between pornography and prostitution is the presence of a camera. Yet, prostitution is illegal, porn is not. Honestly, both should be legal. Porn is defended by the first amendment, and legalizing prostitution would protect a ton of women, and let’s be honest here, men who work in the industry too. It would allow them the right to contact the police if they are mistreated on the job, there would be regulation on std testing, and condom usage to  help stop the spread of stds. It would allow the workers a way to make a legitimate living, without living in fear from the IRS, police, and to a great extent, customers. If ever state adopted prostitution laws the way Nevada has them, it would be well regulated. Not only would it protect the workers, but it would increase state and local tax revenue. We all complain about taxes, and the governments complain about not having enough revenue. It may not solve the problem, but it could ease the situation. Let’s face it people, the United States has always been miserable at regulating vice. Their only idea is Prohibition, which makes things worse. So please, whenever the situation arises, help promote the legalization of prostitution.

I’m sorry if I offend anyone with this, but I am so sick of people arguing about this, and using the Bible to promote hatred

Th.at article made me upset, and my comment was: 

“Or, you know, they could just go on the lines of what I learned from Jesus, about tolerating, and loving people we or society views as sinners, and treating them like everyone else. Jesus was a really nice guy, and his message has been twisted. I’d like to see where Jesus Christ, Son of the Lord our God, said anything on the subject of homosexuality. And I like how Jesus’ love for us, which we, as Christians are supposed to be trying to emulate, has become, Love for only those who agree with my brand of Pseudo-Christianity. It is disgusting. I mean, the basic, most fundamental thing we should do is emulate Christ as best we can. That is what a Christian does. Jesus, whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Pagan, Atheist, Agnostic, Buddhist, Taoist, Zoroastrian, ANYTHING, was a nice guy, who loved the people around him, even if he those in the elder positions in Israel deemed them sinners. Like, take that from the bible. You can get scripture to back up any argument. Even opposing arguments. A Christian is a follower of Christ. I follow Christ by doing my best to be him. I am tolerant, loving, and caring. I do my best to help those in need that I can. I am charitable, and I am Christ. I really am. Maybe not to you, but to someone, I was sent by Christ, and was him to whomever I touched, whether or not they are the same religion of mine. You will call it blasphemy for me to say that I am Christ, but Christ lives in us all, regardless of religion, sins, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, family, wealth, power, status, personality, and yes, even animal. I believe Jesus has come to me as my late dog. She was always there when I was sick, she guarded me from harm on numerous occasions. And my cat has done the same, I have had Jesus in those around me. If they disagreed with me, they still loved me, and that is what Christ taught me. To love unconditionally. And that is what we all should learn. We feud about areas in people’s lives that do not affect us. They also do not affect how Jesus loves us. He died for our sins, so why should we not forgive their sins, that our Lord and SAVIOR died for, and saved us from?”

Because I never fit in, and was treated like shit. But honestly, I’d rather this, than be treated well, and been an asshole. There are enough of those anyways.
